If a logo must synthesize a company’s activity, one that has achieved its purpose is WhatsApp. It clearly captures what it sets out to do, and it has never drastically changed its design (apart from small stylizations), although over time it has been simplified, as has been the trend around the world. Now, if you need to download the current WhatsApp logo in PNG, in this same article we provide some variants.
Remember that WhatsApp was founded in 2009 by Jan Koum and Brian Acton, and in its early days it was a fairly austere app with the sole function of sending and receiving messages to our contacts over the internet. In 2014, given its success, Facebook (now Meta) acquired the app to incorporate it into its corporate group, although to this day it continues to operate independently.
The WhatsApp logo is as simple as the app itself
In case you never noticed, the WhatsApp logo symbolizes a bubble (a speech bubble) that represents the messages we send within the app. This bubble contains the symbol of a telephone, since the application originally worked only on mobile phones (although over time it has opened up to other platforms such as the computer; however, its core usage remains on smartphones).
Remember that at the beginning, when WhatsApp was launched to the app market, it was not possible to make phone calls from within the app itself, so the phone does not symbolize calls as you may read elsewhere.

Here you go, the WhatsApp logo in PNG, both in its green and white versions. Keep in mind that you may not see the white one if the article background is also white.
In the gallery above these lines you have the WhatsApp icon itself (what would be the bubble with just the phone), then this same icon accompanied by the app name horizontally, and finally the same design arranged vertically. Likewise, we also provide the WhatsApp Business logo in PNG with its characteristic dark green color. We hope that one of these variants fits your needs!
Besides being in PNG format with a transparent background, the resolution of these images should be high enough for you to integrate them into your projects without loss of quality.
Previous versions of the logo had a green gradient inside the bubble, although over the years a more uniform green tone has been favored; as we mentioned before, following the design trend that has been popular lately.
Do you think WhatsApp will ever change its logo to a completely different design? Will it stay as it is but with small redesigns?
